About me

A little about me and my background as a Mentor.

I’m Helen and I’ve been working as a Mentor for the past 6 years gaining a lot of experience working with people with ADHD and Autism.

I first started mentoring for a charity where I worked with Young People aged between 16-18 years old who had emotional well-being challenges. This role gave me the passion for Mentoring and after a few years I moved to become a Specialist Mentor working for Universities. It’s a job I absolutely love and still do. It involves me providing 1-1 support to students with ADHD, Autism and Mental Health needs to help them achieve their degree.

I have an MSc in Sport and Exercise Psychology, training in Autism and ADHD and I’m a graduate Member of the British Psychological Society with accreditation. I need all these qualifications in order to fulfil my role working across Universities. I also engage in regular Continued Professional Development to ensure I keep my knowledge and qualifications up to date.

On a personal level, I’m a mother embracing the journey of raising children and all that comes with it. I love running and keeping fit, walking my dog and spending time with family and friends.
